RECEIVED

The first impression

The bizarre process of first impressions, there are even books written about it. While waiting in the reception area, visitors learn more about the history and culture of the organization. The reception or lobby of a building creates the first impression for the visitor.

Receiving for the first impression
The reception area is perhaps the most important room in a company.

Interior signage is an excellent tool for giving visitors a first impression that matches your objectives. Of course, those objectives depend heavily on the type of organization or building you are entering. With signage techniques, SIZO can create an atmosphere that gives the visitor the intended experience and send the first impression in a certain direction.

We hope to inspire you on this page for your own company's reception area. If you can't figure it out, we'll be happy to help!

Panel

A milled-out dibond panel highlighted from the back. Which makes the company names and locations stand out. Next to the names, the floor figures are pasted with a high-gloss white cutting film.

Vinyl
Cutting and full-color film the most common signage product and at the same time the most versatile product. Almost any shape, color and size can be realized and it can be attached to (almost) any surface. Here a foil with a wooden look was chosen. For those who don't know any better, it really is wood. That's how detailed it is!
Logo
A milled-out logo to recognize the company's premises. Not only does it look chic, it is also a durable product. That lasts a long time, partly because it is mounted inside.

The only chance to make the first impression is at the front office. Make sure that matches your organization.

Generate interest in your business with your appearance and decoration of your lobby.

In your reception area, create space for short conversations through acoustic solutions and décor.

Does your organization have an interesting history? then the reception area is the place to share the company's history.

Eight ideas
To upgrade a reception area with interior signage.

1. A timeline or history-wall

Execute this high quality with different sign products such as milled letters, stainless steel dibond panels with printing, visuals in a Lumiframe or xxl textile tendon cloths. A combination of materials attracts attention, radiates power and will further confirm your organization's right to exist.

Tip! Include a (lighted) change frame in the composition where you can communicate the latest project, a milestone achieved or other news.

2. A large textile visual

Create a catchy eye-catcher on one of the walls, possibly with built-in LED lighting. An image of company activities or a photo compilation of your employees. Or just something artistic. A large visual on tendon cloth largely determines the atmosphere and appearance of a room and also has sound-absorbing properties as a bonus.

Tip! Take advantage of the Sizo changing service! Change visual several times a year. This will keep the reception area lively and current. Have any used visuals come back a few months each year and the cost will be tremendously less.

3. Your logo or company name on the wall

On or behind the counter or in a central location in the reception area an organization's logo always makes a good impression. Especially if it is high-quality, for example in a metal box letter or large milled letter. Especially beautiful if these are back- or side-lit.

Tip! Also consider a beautiful poem or slogan on the wall that reflects what your organization stands for.

4. Wayfinding in style

In your reception area, you naturally want to guide visitors in the right direction. Clear signage in of course important. But the design of the signage can also contribute to the look and feel of your reception area. Ecological signage made of driftwood or business signs made of di-bond or PVC. A lot of things are possible.

Tip! Incorporate wayfinding into the whole decorating concept, not a sign here and there. Want to know more about this? We welcome you!

5. A digital reception

Position a large format LED screen in a prominent location in your reception area. On it, for example, you can personally welcome certain visitors. Or indicate in which room an event or meeting will take place. But also use the screen for general matters such as the latest news, stock market prices or the weather forecast. Or communicate the latest information from your organization or vacancies.

Tip! An LED screen also lends itself very well to displaying seasonal messages. Think "Happy Holidays" or "next weekend summer time!".

6. Do something with your floor

In retail, floor marketing is already a familiar concept. Floor stickers are also increasingly used in interior design. Besides clear tracking lines for the purpose of signage or separating areas, you can also use the floor as a communication surface. Put some nice slogans on the floor and thus easily decorate a room.

Tip! Floor marketing opportunities depend heavily on the user function and type of floor. Get advice from SIZO's product specialists. They will be happy to receive you.

7. Upcycling or renovating your reception desk

The front desk in a reception area is often customized. It fits exactly into the space and has also cost a lot of money. It may be somewhat worn out or no longer match the current look and color. Sizo can use renovation film to make a piece of furniture, and therefore a counter, look like new again. The possibilities are enormous, from a brushed stainless steel look, luxury woods to bright colors or specially designed colors. Matte or glossy or even metallic. Your imagination is the limiting factor. In the Sizo Signlab all samples can be evaluated, we are happy to receive you or we come to you with samples.Tip! Not only furniture can be given a second life. We can also provide interior doors or partitions with a metamorphosis.

8. Skylight ceiling

Does your reception area lack (enough) daylight and have a suspended ceiling?

A Sizo Skylight generates an instant metamorphosis. The Sizo Skylight system gives an impression of bright daylight. A dark, unattractive corner thus becomes an attractive space. Sizo makes the Skylights to order, and the image is customized as desired.

Tip! Be playful and have a small advertising plane fly over with the organization's name on the tow.
